Working with xTier — what candidates ask.
Do I have to take a screening call to be considered?
Yes — a short call (20–30 minutes) is part of every active engagement. We use it to understand what you actually want next, not just what's on your resume. If we don't have a fit, we'll tell you. If we do, we'll prep you thoroughly.
Can I work as an incorporated contractor or do I need to be T4?
Both — Ontario rules permit either, and we engage candidates under whichever model fits the role and your preference. We'll walk through the trade-offs (taxes, benefits, write-offs) honestly so you can choose.
How often will you actually contact me?
Only when there's a real match. We don't blast roles — if your inbox is silent for a few weeks, that's by design. We'd rather be your second call than your loudest.
Do you negotiate offers on my behalf?
Yes — and we'll be straight with you about market rates and what's realistic. Our incentive is a long-term placement, not a quick close.
What happens to my data?
We store your resume and contact details to match you to roles. We never sell your information, and we never share your resume with a client without your explicit go-ahead. Full details on the Compliance page.
