About the role
A Series C SaaS platform serving North American retailers is moving from a hand-rolled, single-region AWS footprint to a multi-region, IaC-driven platform with real SLOs. You’ll be one of three senior cloud engineers leading that migration.
What you’ll do
- Codify everything in Terraform (current state is roughly 60% IaC)
- Design and roll out a multi-region EKS topology with traffic shifting
- Stand up SLOs, error budgets, and on-call rotations in Datadog
- Lead one major migration end-to-end per quarter
- Coach platform engineers on cloud and observability patterns
What you bring
- 6+ years on AWS, with deep EKS / EC2 / VPC / IAM experience
- Production Terraform at scale (modules, remote state, drift management)
- Experience designing and meeting SLOs in a multi-tenant SaaS
- Strong written communication — most decisions live in design docs
